Can we add more users?

Yes, you can upgrade your subscription at any time. Upgrades to subscriptions will be prorated to your next billing cycle. 

 

What are the different user roles?

Compliance Otter has three different user roles: Team Member, Admin, and Admin+Billing.

How can I change a user’s role?
Any Admin or Admin + Billing account can change a user’s role in two ways.

1. Navigate to “Settings” on the sidebar menu, and on the “Admin Users” table you will see “Edit Role”. This method is to change the role of users that are already Admins.

2. On the “Team” sidebar menu, click on the user you would like to edit. Once on the user’s page, click the “Edit” button and select the role you want the user to be.

Activity Logs

How do we download the activity logs?
Navigate to your “Logs” tab on the sidebar menu. Above the activity logs you will see “export”. Click this and your logs will automatically begin downloading as a .CSV file. 

Billing

How can we modify or cancel our subscription?
Any user with the role “Admin + Billing” and manage the organizations billing. To do this, navigate to “Settings” in the sidebar menu, and click “Manage Billing”. 

Note: The Manage Billing button will only be visible if the account is currently subscribed to a paid plan. 

Will we still have access if we cancel our subscription?
Your team will have access until the end of the billing period. If you are only a monthly subscription plan, you’ll have access until the next monthly billing date. If you are on an annual plan, you’ll have access until the next annual billing date. 

How long is the free trial?
The free trial period is 14 days.

What if I downgrade my subscription to a 10 user plan but have 13 active users?
When a team downgrades to a plan with more uses than the plan allows, the most recently added team members will be deactivated within three days until the correct number of active team members is reached.

Other Stuff

Why do I have to login everyday?
For security, users need to re-authenticate every 12 hours.
